WFIEd Releases Its 2026 Program Book for the Global Campaign 2026–2031

The World Forum for Inclusive Education (WFIEd) has officially released the WFIEd 2026 Program Book, presenting the organization’s programs, global priorities, partnership opportunities, and strategic direction under the WFIEd Global Campaign 2026–2031 https://wfied.org/programs/.

The Program Book serves as the official baseline for WFIEd’s initiatives in 2026. It reflects the organization’s commitment to advancing inclusive education through international networking, institutional recognition, global membership, research collaboration, sustainable development, and measurable institutional transformation.

The 2026 Program Book introduces three major programs:

Global Inclusion Leadership Awards

The Global Inclusion Leadership Awards recognizes universities, institutions, leaders, researchers, and other stakeholders demonstrating meaningful leadership and measurable contributions to inclusion. The program promotes evidence-based improvement while acknowledging initiatives that strengthen inclusive services, learning, research, community engagement, institutional culture, and attitudes.

WFIEd Global Free Membership Campaign

The WFIEd Global Free Membership Campaign expands opportunities for educators, researchers, students, professionals, institutions, and advocates to become part of an international inclusive-education network. The campaign is designed to strengthen representation across countries, promote knowledge exchange, and establish sustainable collaboration among WFIEd members and partners.

SustainCon Global Conference Partnership

The SustainCon Global Conference Partnership provides opportunities for universities, research institutions, professional associations, government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and international networks to participate as a Host or Co-Host of WFIEd international conferences.

Through SustainCon, WFIEd organizes six recurring international conferences annually. Collectively, the conferences address inclusive education and all 17 Sustainable Development Goals while supporting international research dissemination, academic networking, publication, and institutional partnership.

Extensive Global Target Coverage

The initial outreach database supporting the WFIEd programs contains 7,720 institutional target entries, covering 196 countries, 11 territories, and 19 global regions.

The distribution includes:

  • 3,242 institutional entries in Asia;
  • 1,697 in Europe;
  • 1,696 in Africa;
  • 996 in the Americas; and
  • 89 in Australia and Oceania.

This global coverage provides a foundation for distributing invitations, expanding institutional participation, developing country and regional networks, and ensuring representation from diverse geographical contexts.

A Living Framework for Annual Development

The WFIEd 2026 Program Book is not intended to remain a static document. It establishes the starting point for monitoring the implementation and development of WFIEd programs throughout the year.

The 2027 edition will be revised based on achievements, monitoring and evaluation findings, stakeholder feedback, lessons learned, institutional participation, emerging priorities, and further program development. Updated targets, strategies, timelines, partnerships, and new initiatives will be incorporated to ensure that WFIEd continues to respond to the evolving needs of inclusive education worldwide.

Through the Global Campaign 2026–2031, WFIEd seeks to transform international commitment into coordinated action, measurable progress, and sustainable collaboration.

One Global Network. Shared Responsibility. Sustainable Progress toward Inclusive Education.
